Tomatin Cask Strength And Cù Bòcan Virgin Oak

The Tomatin Distillery Co Ltd, has this week announced the launch of a new Cask Strength Edition as part of its permanent core range, along with a new Virgin Oak variant of its lightly peated Cù Bòcan series of whiskies.

Tomatin Cask Strength Edition (57.5% ABV) is the distillery’s first permanent cask strength release and allows consumers to experience the Tomatin, Highland style of whisky in its most natural state. Matured in a combination of Bourbon and Sherry casks, Tomatin Cask Strength Edition joins a strong award-winning core line-up which presents varying styles, matured in various types of casks including Bourbon, Sherry, Port and Virgin Oak.

Cù Bòcan Virgin Oak Edition (46% ABV) is the second in a trilogy of limited editions showcasing the flavours which make up the standard edition of Cù Bòcan; Sherry, Virgin Oak and Bourbon. The Sherry Edition was released last year and the Bourbon edition will be released later this year.

Commenting on the new releases, Tomatin Sales Director, Stephen Bremner, said: “In recent years we have really started to make our mark in the single malt market with recognition for the high quality whisky on offer from the Tomatin Distillery. I am confident these two new expressions will sit nicely within our ranges and, most importantly, will be enjoyed by our customers.”

Limited to 15,000 bottles per annum Tomatin Cask Strength Edition will be available worldwide except the US, for a RRP of £49.99. Limited to 6,000 bottles Cù Bòcan Virgin Oak Edition will also be available worldwide except the US for a RRP of £49.99.
