I remember the first bottle of Wyoming Whiskey I got a few years back, batch 18. It started out ok but became increasingly worse the longer it was open. I was sure WW was on a doomed track. Then they made some changes, got a new master distiller and a new blender among other things and it started to turn around for them. These days they’re putting out a good product, like the Wyoming Whiskey Batch 37, and I see them having a bright future.
In Wyoming Whiskey’s Words: Wyoming Whiskey Batch 37
“NOSE: floral, with a hint of vanilla bean and caramel pudding
PALATE: floral with brown baking spices and browned butter, vanilla crème, caramel, and a hint of cinnamon
MOUTHFEEL: light and smooth with vanilla bean and cinnamon spice filling the mouth cavity, hint of mint
FINISH: medium length finish with toffee. Spice and vanilla fade.”
I’m really happy, and thankful, that they’ve continued to periodically send new batches over for me to try and talk about. It’s been a wonderful journey to be a part of and it’s great to get to try new products like their Outryder. I’m looking forward to the future of WW, but for now let’s focus on the present with the Wyoming Whiskey Batch 37 review below.

OVERALL
Wyoming Whiskey Batch 37 is a decent bourbon, but there’s just not a whole lot there. The aroma is nice, the palate is nice and even the slightly chalky finish isn’t too bad, but it lacks depth and richness and it’s not as interesting as batch 36 which had a bit more to offer all around. For my tastes, this one needed a bit more oak and depth to really shine.
Like all of their current releases, Wyoming Whiskey Batch 37, is a far cry from where they started. I couldn’t be happier to see the positive, forward progress, of this distillery. It’s also awesome to see them experiment and try new things along the way with releases like the Wyoming Whiskey Double Cask. I hope they continue building on what they’re doing and build a solid future for themselves.
SCORE: 84/100 (B)

Wyoming Whiskey Batch 37 Review - Score Breakdown
Summary
Wyoming Whiskey Batch 37 isn’t as good as the bath 36, but it’s still a far cry better than the sub 30s batches. Definitely worth a taste.

I came across a bottle of Batch 39, dusty and on-sale for $32. It had a very strong ‘ethenol?’ smell and it was the first time in years something burned my throat enough to make me cough. I tried another couple of sips but ended up dumping it and poured two fingers of EW BIB instead to ease my suffering, which it did.
Yikes, that sounds rough. Hopefully you didn’t dump the whole bottle. Come back to it in a month or so. Cheers Tony!
Unique and enjoyable
I came across a bottle from batch 50 and I have to say at $37 it is a great find! I love wheaters and this fits my bill any day. I’m down here in Georgia and yall got it going on in Wyoming!! I hope that other renditions of this and their Rye make it our way some time soon. As for what’s in the bottle compared to how things are rated on this site I would put batch 50 closer to an 88 overall with an amplification of what’s noted here but with nearly non of the chalkyness there. I’m excited to try more from Wyoming Whiskey!
Batch 48**
Glad to hear it’s still coming in strong at these later batches!
I bought two bottles of their batch 30. My boubon loving friends and I finished one bottle and we found it to be one of the smoothest bourbons I ever had and take it from me that I’ve consumed alot of different bourbons including some of the best. Since then we all been big fans and we continue to buy it as well as some of their other special releases. The fate of the other bottle is about half full and sits in my bourbon cabinet. Unfortunately it can’t be found in Ohio and I must mailorder it but I find it very worth the effort.
Thanks for your review.
Cheers Karl, glad you’re liking their recent stuff, it’s turned into an awesome whiskey!
