This prohibition era bourbon cocktail is quite flavorful with the sweet and sour notes playing off of the big bourbon base.,Though unless you like really sweet cocktails I would recommend easing up a bit on the grenadine. That mountainous tablespoon can force this cocktail into candy land for those without a major sweet tooth (like myself). If you really want that sweetness but feel like you’re missing too much of the bourbon just bump the bourbon up a notch and make it 2 solid ounces of the good stuff.
If you give this cocktail a try put your thoughts and any modifications you made in the comments below.
