Bourbon Cocktail: Basin Street

Bourbon Cocktail Basin Street

A prohibition-era bourbon cocktail, the Basin Street has an incredibly refreshing flavor. The Triple Sec (use a better curacao if you have it on hand) and lemon juice make a delightful combination with the bourbon and enhance some of the natural citrus undertones that many bourbons tend to carry. A smooth cocktail that doesn’t require anything more than a few seconds to make it goes great with any time of day or any occasion. Great as a meal starter or as an after dinner refresher this is a great addition to any cocktail party.

  1. Just made one of these and am enjoying it. Used Knob Creek, Bols triple sec, and fresh lemon juice. The triple sec is a bit old so will try again with some fresh Cointreu. Overall, one I’ll have again so thanks for posting. I’m always up for mixing and drinking classic cocktails!
